Shannon Driscoll

Shannon was born on April 28, 1975, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to Dell and Dannelle (Bader) Kelly. She was raised in Sioux Falls and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1993. In 1993, she married Michael Driscoll, and together they welcomed two daughters, Makayla and Megan, who remained the greatest joys of her life.

Throughout her life, Shannon dedicated herself to caring for others. She worked as a Med Aide and Certified Nursing Assistant with DakotAbilities and in several assisted living facilities, where her compassion and kindness touched many lives. In recent years, she worked for Amazon.

Above all else, Shannon treasured her family. Nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her grandchildren, who lovingly knew her as “Nanny.” She had a creative spirit and enjoyed making crafts, playing pool and darts, and spending evenings at the local racetracks. Whether sharing a laugh, lending a helping hand, or making memories with those she loved, Shannon had a way of making people feel welcome and cared for.

Shannon is survived by her daughters, Makayla Cheskie and Megan Driscoll; her four beloved grandchildren, Charlotte, Hazel, Ella, and Everett; her brother, Shalako (Maria) Kelly; several nieces and nephews; and her cherished best friend, Stacy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dell and Dannelle Kelly, and her beloved niece, Taylor.

Shannon’s love for her family, her generous heart, and the memories she created will live on in all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
