Mary Lund

Mary was born on October 1, 1950 in Sioux Falls, the daughter of Earl and Joanne (Boysen) Hall. She attended Washington High School. Shortly after high school, Mary was married and a had a son, Wade.

Mary worked for Western Electric in the telephone and cable installation division for many years. When AT&T was broken up, Mary’s job was eliminated. She decided to attend truck driving school at Midwest Coast Trucking and was told she wouldn’t be hired as a driver unless she was married. It wasn’t long until Mary met Mike Lund and they married. They drove truck for over 25 years together and traveled throughout 49 states and Canada.

Mary and Mike bred and raised Shitzus for several years. She also enjoyed watching all types of TV game shows. Mary's family fondly remembers her for her kind and gentle spirit.

Mary passed away on May 23, 2025 at Ava’s Hospice House, Sioux Falls.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Mike; three children, Wade Stockwell, Keith (Justine) Lund and Mikki Lund; grandchildren, Amber, Aaron, Heather (Chris), Aimee, Lucas and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Jaxson Patrick, Deklan, Avery, Ryker, Kimber, Landon, Tillie, Jaxon Eliot and Savanah. Mary is preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Jon, Tonya and James.
