Marvin Kolsrud

Marvin passed away on April 9, 2023 in Sioux Falls.

Marvin was born on March 4, 1953 in Sioux Falls to Marvin and Harriet (Gilbertson) Kolsrud. As a young boy, he grew up in California and then his family moved to Hills, Minnesota when he was older and attended high school at Hills. He left high school before graduating to join the US Navy but was discharged before completing a full enlistment period. Marvin then began a career in long-haul and over the road truck driving.

 Marvin enjoyed fishing and the outdoors.

 He has one son, Michael (Andrea) Kolsrud of Sioux Falls and two grandchildren, Aurora and Kaleb Kolsrud, whom he adored and enjoyed spending time with. Marvin is also survived by siblings, Tom (Lorrie) Daniels, Karen Godfrey, Rick Daniels, Carol (Dennis) Vanbatavia, Connie Sittler, twin sister, Marvis (Steve) Foster and Jacqueline Kolsrud. 

Marvin is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Billy, and sister-in-law, Sherrie Daniels.
