Lorinda Dawn Bell (Schipper) peacefully joined our heavenly father after a courageous battle with Leukemia, surrounded by family on Saturday, November 8th, 2025. She was lovingly welcomed into the world alongside her twin brother, Loren Dale, on September 6th, 1952 to Ukeus (Case) Schipper and Edna Mae Schipper (Christians).
Lorinda grew up on a small farm near Flandreau, SD. Lorinda had many fond memories of growing up with her brothers who were so very special to her. She loved to talk about her dad and working with him and his horses. Always lovingly known as Sis, she had an ambitious outlook on life. Lorinda cherished her role as godmother and aunt, and was a wonderful support and role model.
She graduated from Flandreau High School in 1970. She then enrolled in Nettleton College and majored in Secretarial Administration. She was recruited by JC Pennies after graduation and traveled throughout the United States as a member of an Intrastate Security team. She worked as a counselor at Threshold in Sioux Falls, then administrative secretary at Bethany Home, later she flourished in both raising kids and juggling a career at Spader's RV Sales and Dealership serving both in service and sales.
Lorinda was married on June 4th 1983 to Dennis Bell in Flandreau, SD. Lorinda and Dennis and their children, Logan and Taylor, lived in Tea, SD for 25 years. She was dedicated to her kids and passionate about family. Her grandchildren Cruz and Amoriana were very special to her and brought much joy into her life. Lorinda loved the Black Hills and she and her husband both retired to their cabin in Keystone, SD in 2017.
She was preceded in death by her twin brother Loren Dale, nephew Troy Eugene, brother Cameron John, father Ukeus (Case) Schipper, mother Edna Mae Schipper (Christians), brother Steven Bruce, sister in law Pam Schipper (Mulder) and sister in law Rosie Schipper (Bunkers).
Grateful for having shared her life and dear to her heart were her husband Dennis Bell, brother Lloyd (Jeannette) Schipper, brother Clayton (LeAnn) Schipper, son Logan Bell (Lauren Bordeaux-Berg), daughter Taylor Bell (Set Gonzales), grandson Cruz, granddaughter Amoriana, niece Leah and husband Bert, goddaughter Chantel Olson, niece Lacey Schipper, and nephews Brian, Rowden, and Loren Schipper
