JoAnn Luverne Quigley (Lubben), born November 8, 1950 in Hawarden, Iowa passed away unexpectedly on April 19, 2026.
She was raised in Akron, Iowa and later made her home in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Throughout her life, JoAnn was known for her steady presence and her dedication to serving others. Whether working in a local restaurant or a grocery store, she took pride in helping people and connecting with her community in simple but meaningful ways.
In her spare time, JoAnn found joy in cooking and baking, often sharing her creations with family and friends. It was one of the many ways she showed her care and brought comfort to those around her.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Doris Lubben; her sister, Sandra Wyatt (Lubben); and her longtime companion, Jeff Hogan.
She is survived by her sister, Glenda Hernandez (Lubben), and brothers-in-law, Mike Hernandez and Paul Wyatt. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews: Paul (“Little Paul”) Wyatt (Julie), Sara Svec (Wyatt), Mario Lubben-Hernandez, and Nathan Lubben-Hernandez, as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.
JoAnn will be remembered for her kindness, her strong work ethic, and the quiet ways she showed care to those around her. Her memory will live on in the lives she touched and the love she shared.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
