Douglas Monnette

Douglas Joseph Monette age 70, passed away peacefully on Thursday May7 7, 2026 in Sioux Falls, SD.

He was born on August 31, 1955 in Belcourt, ND. He moved to Sioux Falls with his mother, Barbara, and step-dad, Delbert, graduating from Washington High School. Doug moved to Missouri and lived there for a short period of time before coming back to settle in Sioux Falls. He was known as the keeper of memories, a rebel and his kind heart. He loved horses and cars.

Doug was a beloved brother, a cherished son and a loyal friend. He is survived by his mother, Barbara; brothers, Darryl (Joann) and Keith (Lisa); sisters, Linda, Sheryl and Julie.  He is preceded in death by father ,Joseph J.: step-father, Delbert: sister, Carol: and grandmother, Alvina.

Doug leaves behind as legacy of humor, kindness, being a hard worker, and with unforgettable memories. He was always ready to share a story. He will be deeply missed by his family and his friends.
