Dale Eugene Mitchell Jr., 67 passed away unexpectedly at home on November 7th, 2025 in Sioux Falls, SD where he resided with his youngest daughter Destiney. Dale was born May 25, 1958 in Ann Arbor Michigan to Monna (Duffroy) and Dale Mitchell Sr.
Dale grew up in Brighton, Michigan where he graduated from Brighton High School. He spent the majority of his life traveling for work doing hazardous material removal, which led him to meeting his wife and soulmate, (Baby) Donna. They were introduced by a mutual friend Dale worked with and it was love at first sight. Dale was working in Nebraska during the late 90’s while Donna was living in Sioux Falls, SD but they would eventually settle down in Dale’s home town of Brighton, MI where they were blessed with Destiney in 2001 and later marry in 2003, then eventually moved away in 2016. Dale took care of step children Janet, Nakita, Michael, and Richard from day one of meeting Donna.
Dale was a hard working man that provided for his family doing hazardous material removal of asbestos, lead, and other hazardous materials for close to three decades. Although asbestos removal was his specialty, he worked different jobs and did whatever was needed to provide for his family. During the later years of his life he worked at a steel company that manufactured agricultural equipment near Sioux Falls, even while dealing with health issues which attested to the hard working man he was. Sadly in 2021 he unexpectedly lost his wife Donna when he then moved in with his daughter Destiney. Due to his health issues, they took care of each other until he passed away.
Dale is survived by his father Dale Sr. Siblings David, Tammy, Barbra, and Patrick along with many nieces and nephews. Step children Janet, Nakita, Michael, Richard, and Destiney (AKA Punky, which was the only name Dale would call her by). Grandchildren Sophia, Samuel, Matthew, Hailey, Damon, Michael, Nathan, Maddisyn, Eva, Carter, Ailanna and others he did not have the privilege to meet. Children Greg, Beth, Eric, Dale III, and Sara. Also furbabies Skye and Amiri. Preceded in death by his mother Monna (Duffroy) Mitchell, which he referred to as his best friend and also reunited with his wife Donna Mitchell, who was his soulmate and would refer to as Baby Donna. Dale is dearly loved and will be missed by many.
