Cordell “PeeWee” Jackson, Jr., was born on May 21, 1959 in Shreveport, LA, to Cordell “Buddyson” Jackson, Sr. and Irma Jean Taylor. PeeWee was raised by his grandparents, Dan and Mary (Rainey) Taylor, Jr. until he moved to Kansas City, MO to live with his mom and two brothers, James and Glenn, Sr.
PeeWee lived in Sioux Falls where he met Patrice Ganser and started a life with her and her son, Zach McBride. Through the years, PeeWee had family dinners, BBQs and holiday feasts so many memories could be made. Now, years later, two precious grandkids, Jonah and Amelia, came into this extended Jackson family to grow up with all the family and listening to the life stories.
PeeWee had a very special and unique bond with his parents, Buddyson and Irma; two brothers, James and Glenn; sister-in-law, Tanya; two sisters, Carla Thomas and Keshia McClendon; step-mom, Vairzora; aunts and uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, friends, and list goes on….
PeeWee loved to tinker with anything that was broken to see why it was broken, how it worked and a “can I fix it” attitude – yes some failures with wins too and never a sad face if it didn’t work. He loved to listen to old school R&B while cooking his favorite foods. He enjoyed relaxing in bed, watching crime shows and imagining ways to commit the crime without getting caught – James and PeeWee’s way of thinking - LOL. PeeWee made sure he made the rounds to check on his brothers, mom, aunts and uncles as he held his family close to his heart. His younger brother, Glenn, Sr., made sure he had PeeWee’s back through thick and thin until God took him home.
Family in Heaven to welcome PeeWee home: grandparents, Henry T. and Sallie (Dixson/Dixon) Jackson, Don and Mary (Rainey) Taylor, Jr.; the Jackson aunts and uncles, Jessie, Hardy, Violet, H.T., Areta, Getherine, Sarah, James, Willis, Mildred, Bertha, Pompie, Belzora and Elbert; the Taylore uncles, Billy and Jimmy; special companion, Patricia Ganser; a brother, Elbert “James” Jackson; his parents, Cordell “Buddyson” Jackson, Sr. and Irma Jean Jackson.
