Charles "Chuck" O'Neill, II

Charles was born May 24, 1951 in Petoskey, Michigan to Charles and Marion ONeill. Charles graduated in 1970 from Petoskey High School. Charles attended Votech for Auto mechanics in Lansing Michigan.

Later relocating to South Dakota, Charles had 2 children Justin and Sherri ONeill. They settled in Sioux Falls where Charles worked as a correctional officer at South Dakota State Penitentiary and a Custodial Engineer for Sioux Falls School District for 22 years before he retired in 2014.

Charles married his best friend, Darla Sterk, on November 11,2011. They always had love and laughter and never apart. Chuck and Darla have 4 fur babies. There was never a dull moment, only smiles, and Charles loved his puppies. Charles left us by giving back to those in need by being a tissue and organ donor.

Charles is survived by his wife, Darla ONeill; son, Justin and wife, Alica, of Hot Spings; daughter, Sherri of ONeill of Vermillion; a step son, Jason, and his wife,Jody Sterk, of Irene, SD and a step daughter, Stacy, and her husband, Randy Koster; 8 grandsons and 6 step grandchildren; two brothers, Joesph (Vicky) O’Neill, Scot (Lori) O’Neill of Petoskey MI and a sister, Susan (Vic) Mercer of Canton SD.

Charles was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Marion; and a brother, Donald Paul and great granddaughter, Nova Lynn.
