Veramae Tolle

Veramae was born October 24, 1923 in Larchwood, Iowa to Charley and Goldia Selken (Wilka). Veramae grew up in the Howard, SD area. She served as a Wave in WWII where she met her late husband, John (Jack) Tolle. As a retired bookkeeper, Veramae spent much of her working life in Denver, Colorado. She moved to Sioux Falls, SD in August of 2003 to be closer to family. Veramae passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2009 at Bethany Lutheran Home in Sioux Falls, SD. Veramae was a dearly loved sister and aunt. Grateful for having shared her life are sisters, Louise Lund, Irene Lund, both from Sioux Falls, SD, brother Melvin Selken (Arla), Dell Rapids,SD, half sisters Lucy Tooley (Gene), Sioux Falls,SD, June Smith (Richard), Poplar Grove, IL, half brothers, Ronald Selken (Susan), Sioux Falls, SD, Raymond Selken, Germany, step brother LeRoy Green (Armena) Sioux Falls, SD, step sister Elsie Collins (Rick) California, and a host of nieces and nephews. Veramae is preceded in death by her mother and father, sisters Doris Mae Kirkpatrick, Viola Brown, and Melvina Bolenbaugh, brother Charles (Chuck) Selken, and step-brother, Charles Green. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.? Family requests that memorials be sent to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of your choice in Veramae's memory.
