Chad Lund

Chadwick ?Chad? Allen Lund, passed away from this life on Feb. 17, 2010 at Lennox. He was born on October 6, 1961 to Douglas and Gloria (Zahrenhusen) Lund, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He attended Garfield, Axtell and Washington schools. In 1986, he married Brenda Boggs and this marriage was blessed by the births of two sons, Justis and Spencer. Chad was a gifted mechanic with a perfectionist bent that made his work superlative. For over 30 years, he worked with his father at the family business. He was invaluable to its success. He was intelligent, a quick study, and extremely hard working. Those who knew him put faith in the quality of his workmanship, his vast mechanical knowledge and honesty. Chad was also an avid chef, preparing wonderful meals for his family. Cooking was a hobby, a passion, his way to express love. Another joy for him was motorcycles. He felt most comfortable on his Suzuki. Chad was very beloved and he will be missed. Left to grieve his loss are his parents, Douglas and Gloria Lund; two sons, Justis and Spencer; a sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Gary Fisher; brother and sister-in-law, Marty and Kadie Lund; a granddaughter, Maci Lund; and numerous family and friends. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Monday, Feb. 22, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 17th & Minnesota Ave, with a service of remembrance at 8 pm. Private interment services will be held.
