Viola Lape

?Viola was born to James and Nellie (Schat) Perkinson on December 25, 1919 in Larshwood, Iowa. She grew up around Larchwood and got married July 27, 1940 to Tim Lape. They farmed aroundLarchwood until 1956 when they moved to Ben Clare, South Dakota. They lived there until 1990 when they moved to Sioux Falls. Her husband of 54 years, Tim, died in 1994. Viola was 90 years old when she passed away at the Good Samaritan Center in Sioux Falls on October 21, 2010. Grateful for having shared in her life are six children, Larry and Kathy of Valley Springs, Ron of Arkansas, Donna and Ron Marshall of Grand Island, NE, Jack and Karen of Sioux Falls, Kenny and Patty or Arkansas, Denny and Val of Valley Springs; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; a sister, Florence Hanson of Sioux Falls; two brothers, Bob Perkinson and John Perkinson; a special niece, Sharon Hinrichs. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, five siblings, Sid, Kate, Mary, James, Jr. and an infant brother; and a daughter-in-law.
