Billie Jo was born to Larry and Nancy (Ross) Pittenger on January 22, 1962 in Sioux Falls . At the age of 14, she moved to Sherman and attended school in Garretson. She participated in the Special Olympics in Michigan and was awarded the bronze medal in track. Billie Jo was employed with Service Master for several years. She enjoyed walking, watching movies, listening to music and dancing. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a huge animal lover and she had a cat named Toby that she loved very dearly. She is survived by her daughter, Jolene (Adam) Tejral of Aurora, Nebraska, a son Joe Almont of Aurora, Nebraska; parents, Larry and Nancy Pittenger of Sherman, South Dakota; two sisters, Patty Voeltz and her faince, Ray Donat of Yankton, South Dakota and Lisa Nelson of Colton, South Dakota; one brother, Kenny (Bonnie) Pittenger of Tea, South Dakota; three nieces, Stacy Voeltz of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Kayla and Kaitlyn, two nephews, Josh Voeltz of Beresford, South Dakota and Austin and one great niece, Shayla and her boyfriend, Dave Holbeck. She was preceded in death by her brother, Larry, her sister, Linda and her grandparents.
