Cathy Barck

Cathy was born with Down Syndrome to Alvin and Corice (Hovland) Barck on October 31, 1956. She attended Hope School in Sioux Falls in 1965. She was admitted to Redfield State Hospital from 1966- 1980. In November of 1980, she enrolled at Sioux Vocational Services. In her early years, Cathy liked to go shopping, out to eat and camping. She was good at making latch hook rugs and gave many to family and friends. She enjoyed going for rides and going over to Dallas and Linda?s house for holidays and family gatherings. She loved her nieces and nephews and the great nieces and nephews, too! She especially liked her birthday (Halloween) which meant a pizza party and brown (chocolate) cake. The family is so appreciative of Achieve for taking such great care of Cathy for all of these years. She was happy and comfortable. She is survived by her sister, Bea (Mike) Baumberger, her brother, Dallas (Linda) and her twin brother, Carl; nieces, nephews and many great nieces and great nephews. Her parents preceded her in death.
