Robert Rohl was born February 16, 1922 at Sioux Falls, the son of Ernest and Myrtle (Williams) Rohl. He graduated from Washington High School. Robert served during WWII in the US Navy from 1942 -1945. He was employed at John Morrell Company for 43 years and was the Division Superintendent of the pork operations. Robert married Marion "Peg" Swart on October 23, 1943 in Sioux Falls. They raised two children, Michael and Stephanie. After he retired, Bob and Peg enjoyed going to Texas for the Winter and camping and fishing at Enemy Swim during the Summer. Bob was an avid pool player and liked playing with his friends at Center for Active Generations. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Chuck Kirchmeier of Sioux Falls; daughter-in-law, Beverly Rohl of Rapid City; a sister, Betty Coldwell of Rapid City, and a cousin, Vera Elliott of Sioux Falls. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Peg, and his son, Michael.
