Myron Bud Hanson, 92 of Flandreau and formerly of Sioux Falls, died Friday, December 13, 2013 at Riverview Manor in Flandreau. Myron was born February 19, 1921 at Dell Rapids, South Dakota, the son of Melvin and Mildred (Sundal) Hanson. After high school, he attended Nettleton College. Myron served his country during WWII from 1941 1945. Myron was a Signalman Second Class in the US Navy and served in the South Pacific Theatre. After his discharge, he returned to Sioux Falls and worked at JC Penney and Fantels for a few years. He worked at EC Olson Clothing Company for 26 years and then with Normans Menswear until he retired. Myron had a life-long love for music. He played the piano, mostly for his own enjoyement, but also duets with his brother, Roger. He looked forward to 3 o'clock coffee and was often heading out to help his brother at the farm in his spare time. Myron is survived by three siblings, Roger of Flandeau, Bernice Skancke of Arizona and Virginia Craft of Minnesota; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Lucille.
