Darrell Erickson

Darrell was born October 1, 1947 in California, the son of Harry and Bertha (Witt) Erickson. He grew up at Pipestone, Minnesota where he graduated from high school. Darrell then earned a degree at Jackson Area Vocational and Technical Institute in the electrical program. He worked for General Electric Company in Chicago for a while prior to being drafted during the Viet Nam War. Following his discharge from the service, Darrell returned to Pipestone. In 1978, he began working at T&R Electric in Colman and purchased his home on Lake Campbell. Darrell retired from T&R Electric in 2011. He moved to Sioux Falls in November of 2013. Darrell was 66 years old when he passed away February 27, 2014 in Sioux Falls. Darrell loved fishing and hunting. He enjoyed seeing his grandchildren and watching them play on their sports teams. He is survived by his sons, Tom (Jeanette White) of Sioux Falls, and Randy (Rebecca) of Sioux Falls; ten grandchildren; and three sisters, Evelyn Erickson, Gail Werner and Denise Dahms, all of Redwood Falls, Mn. Darrell is preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Danielle; and a brother, Norman.
