Lester was born February 9, 1937 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the son of Lester and Leliah (Marker) Larson. He attended elementary school in Sioux Falls and then completed his schooling in Pico and Whittier, California. Lester lived in California for a number of years before returning to Sioux Falls in the mid 1960s and made his home on East Rice Street. He married Jean Fast Horse in 1970. Lester was mostly self-employed, working on land investments and motorcycle salvage business. He enjoyed feeding the turkeys and deer on his acreage and taking care of his cats and Rocky the raccoon. Lester was unwavering in his belief in God and the sacred of human life. He was totally committed in his life crusade for the unborn to the elderly and the pro-life cause. Lester is preceded in death by his wife, Jean, and infant daughter, Leliah Elizabeth Larson and his parents.
