Margaret Weins

Margaret Eileen Weins, our beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away on September 10, 2015 at Good Samaritan Village under hospice care. She was born August 18, 1928 in Chester, SD to Anna and George Kramer. On July 10, 1947, Margret married Harold Weins. Margaret worked in food service most of life. She waitressed and managed restaurants such as Britts Caf at Newberrys Department Store, Rec Bowl Caf and Sunshine Caf. She later worked at Sams Club. She was a wonderful cook and loved baking and cooking for her job, family and friends. Margaret made the best pie, homemade bread and rolls. She loved being outdoors in the summer and spending time at the lake cabin with family friends. Margaret and Harold always had a vegetable garden and many flowers to take care of. She also did a lot of knitting and crocheted many afghans. Margaret loved spending time with her family and especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Harold; children, Curtis Weins, Kathy Uthe, Karen (Troy) Kiger and Kelly Weins; grandchildren, Jennifer (Justin) Whitcomb, Christopher (Michelle) Uthe, Ashley (Adam) VonBehren, Drew Kiger, Chase Kiger, and Kristy Weins; three great grandchildren; and four siblings, Mary Meyers, Jim, Louie and George Kramer. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers.
