Donald Clarence Doese

Donald Clarence Doese, Jr., was born October 4, 1946 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the son of Donald, Sr. and Maxine (Benning) Doese. He was raised in Sioux Falls and later in California, returning to Sioux Falls with his family when he was 16 years old. He worked at Sioux Steel for a few years and then went to work at the John Morrell Company. Don married Darla Campbell on March 4, 1987 in Sioux Falls. Don retired after 26 years at John Morrell. Don enjoyed watching NASCAR races and was a huge fan of a Jeff Gordon. He traveled to several NASCAR tracks to take in the racing. He was also a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. Don was 69 years old when he passed away on November 17, 2015 at the Ave McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls. Grateful having shared in his life is his wife, Darla; four children, Donnie Doese, Kim (George) Janssen, Troy (Galinna) Doese and Troy Campbell; five grandchildren, Miranda, Justus, Joshua, Kaylie and Keagen; three siblings, Patricia Johnson, Tom (Jacelyn) Doese and Linda (Tim) Heng; and a host of nieces, nephews and loving relatives. He is preceded in death by parents and a sister, Joan Kieffer.
