Ronnie Wylie

Ronnie was born November 27, 1943 at Beatrice , Nebraska the son of Paul and Grace (Traunicht) Wylie. He attended Washington High School. He entered the US Navy on Jan. 1, 1961 and served until November 1, 1964. He returned to Sioux Falls and began working at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Sioux Falls. He married Teresa Buttemeier on July 30, 1966 in Sioux Falls. They lived in Sioux Falls where they raised three children. Ronnie worked as a boiler operator at the hospital for twenty nine years, retiring in 2001. During the winter, he lived in Mesa, Arizona. Ronnie enjoyed working on his cars and trucks. He also worked on other peoples vehicle and local racecars. He liked history related tv shows and movies. Ronnie is survived by his mother, GraceBrinkhuis; his wife, Teresa; three children, Troy of Gayville, SD, Molly (Mark) Lorang of Sioux Falls, Jennifer (Bill) Rerick of Brandon; eight grandchildren, Ashlee, Brenden, Hannah, Austin, Samuel, Bennett, Alexia and Kinleigh; and great grandson, Jaxen; two brothers, John Wylie and Bob Brinkhuis. He is preceded in death by his father, Paul, and sisters, Peggy and Connie.
