Cheryl Campbell

Cheryl was born May 17, 1944 in Springfield, Missouri, the daughter of Joseph and Irene (Atwell) Cummins. She grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and later in Oklahoma with her Aunt Helen and Uncle Wes for a few years. She had one sister, Carol Sue. Cheryl moved to Sioux City, Iowa with her cousin when she was 17 years old. She met James Campbell and they were married on July 7, 1962. From the union five children were born, Jamie, Debra, James, Richard and Sara. Cheryl and James divorced in 1980 and she never remarried. Cherly enjoyed reading, cooking, car rides, her cats, working on crossword puzzles (with an inkpen) and family barbeques. She also liked working in her yard and gardening. She loved her family dearly. She is survived by her her children, Jamie Vander Schaaf, Hawarden, Ia., James Campbell, Harwarden, Richard Campbell, Alcester, Sd., Sara and Mike Snedeker, Hawarden; grandchildren, Angela, Steven, Katherine, Marissa, Megan, Jonathon, ; great grandchildren, Andrew and Jaxon. Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Carol; daughter, Debra; grandson, Christopher; and several aunts and uncles; a son-in-law, Steve. This beautiful lady will be sorely missed. A service will be held 2 pm April 2, 2016 at Riverside Park, Sioux City, Iowa
