Dolores Bain

Dolores was born May 25, 1929 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the daughter of Alice (Wallin) and Kenneth Bird. She grew up in Sioux Falls and graduated from Washington High Schoo l. Dolores married Francis Bain on July 26, 1947 at Luverne, Minnesota. They lived in Sioux Falls. Dolores was a homemaker for most of her life. She worked part-time at Bills Floral for a number of years. S he was a creative person and enjoyed sewing, knitting and ceramics. After Francis passed away, Dolores continued living at home until she became a resident at the Good Samaritan Center in January of 2017. She passed away at the nursing home on July 3, 2017 at the age of 92. She is survived by her children, Francis Bain Jr. Chuck of Sioux Falls, Douglas Bain of Sioux Falls and Maridee Bain (Robert Gunter) of White Bear Lake, MN; a grandson, Michael Bain, and granddaughters, Kristina and Alicia Sferrazza; a great granddaughter, Isabel Bain; and four siblings, Rod Bird, Bev Butler, Karla Bird and Craig Bird; sisters-in-law, Rosemary Bird and Nancy Bird; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dolores is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three siblings, Kenneth, Karen and Daryl Butch.
